CR Rhonda SorensenVICE PRESIDENT: CR Rhonda Sorensen
Rhonda is extremely well networked across Rural Queensland in many aspects from government to economic development groups, business and agricultural industry to the social and cultural lead agencies. Rhonda has a powerful intellect, strong sense of innovation and entrepreneurship and bags of initiative. A small town girl with an open, enquiring, entrepreneurial mind, who loves nothing better than to help teams of diverse people work together to create a positive future for our communities. Rhonda has a real talent for linking people and encouraging optimism to achieve collective goals.

Rhonda grew up working on the family cotton farm near Thangool in Central Queensland, went to University in Brisbane and quickly decided she is not a “big city” girl, and has chosen to live the rest of her life in the country. In her professional life, Rhonda has been a Food Microbiologist, Laboratory Manager, Share-Farmer, Community and Business Development Consultant and now lives in Malanda and is a Councillor on the Tablelands Regional Council.

Rhonda fiercely promotes sustainable development that retains the quality of life, character and identity of our rural and remote communities. Her strong vision to create prosperous and vibrant rural communities includes rewarding our farmers for being good stewards of the land, roads, freight, and communications infrastructure.

I am excited about being a member of TBWN and am looking forward to meeting other business women and community members. It’s a great way of promoting your business within the community so if you would like to meet other business women from the Tablelands and you feel like having some fun, then come along to one of our monthly meetings. And don’t forget if you need any assistance with your banking and insurance needs then please come in and see me at Suncorp Atherton on contact me on (07) 4091 0388.
