President's
News
August was a good month for members. Firstly, for those
of us eligible for the Cyclone Larry wage subsidy, the Prime
Minister's announcement of the 13 week extension was terrific
news.
|
 |
Andrew Griffiths attracted a good crowd to our function and members
were so rapt in his life story and advice on running a business
that they didn't notice the time fly by. His inspirational story
demonstrates that no matter how bad your early life experiences,
you can overcome them and make your life a success.
The 'Girls' Day Out' Fashions of the Field' attracted many more
entries than last year and there were so many well-dressed Under
Tens that an impromptu parade was put on for them. It seems that
we are establishing the day as a regular event. We thank once again
all the sponsors and everyone who assisted in any way to make the
event both successful and enjoyable.
You will have noticed from your invitation that the Committee
decided to get into party mode for TBWN's
second anniversary. We had to change the venue from The Homestead
to the Atherton Hotel to give everyone room to salsa! Can't wait!!
Of course we cannot hide the fact that it's also the Annual General
Meeting. Please let someone know if you'd like to join the committee;
don't be shy, let your light shine.
A reminder that to vote at the AGM or to be elected, you must
be a financial member for 2006-2007. You have received or will
be receiving the
Nomination Form and Membership
Renewal Form either by email or post.
Come and celebrate the success of TBWN
on the 27th.
