If you are in tourism, hospitality, industrial and construction, the Mareeba Chamber invites employers to attend a series of workshops presented by Chamber of Commerce & Industry Queensland. These workshops are tailored to specific industries and will present an overview of the impact of the new Federal employment legislation (Fair Work Act 2009) which was introduced on July 1 and the New Modern Award to commence on January 1, 2010. Reports are stating that this legislation will significantly increase wage costs and disadvantage the employer - this is a rare opportunity to access the right information and discuss the effects of these changes with the Industrial Relations Specialist and Industry Colleagues. Employers will be directly affected by this new legislation. Celebrating Leslie’s new blog – the way to see photos and read about weddings in our community. I decided to write the blog in response to many requests from people to hear and see what is happening in the wonderful world of weddings.
