Travel Experiences & Tips
Peter Martin has been the Manager of www.travelexperience.com.au Atherton for the past eight years.
Originally from Brisbane, he was transferred to Cairns some twenty five years ago with The National Bank. His love of Travel was fuelled by a trip to the USA at the age of 20. He left the bank and was employed by Ansett Airlines at Cairns Airport working his way up to being a weight and balance controller handling the burgeoning International Flights into and out of Cairns International Airport. |

Made redundant by Ansett and employed the next day by Qantas was the result of the Merger between Australian Airlines and Qantas back in Paul Keatings Day as Prime Minister.

Working for the airlines of course enabled Peter and his wife to travel extensively throughout North America and Europe. Qantas then offered another round of redundancies as the job was centralised to Sydney or Melbourne.
Peter and his wife Lynette had a weekender in Tarzali at this stage, and had fallen in love with the Tablelands. Both decided to move to Atherton some ten Years ago. Working now in retail travel for ten years, he has been fortunate enough to escort several groups of clients away on some amazing trips to England, Ireland, France, China, South America and Thailand.

Hi everyone and welcome to this month's TBWN eNewsletter.
For those who didn't attend last month's AGM, I wish to say I am very honoured to have been nominated as the new President for the club. With the support and warmth from all those who attended, I am confident and enthusiastic about the new role and milestone that I am about to experience.
TBWN is about to take on a "New Age" approach in the next coming months with lots of exciting things in store. The TBWN website and regular eNews will be getting a revamp as well as lots more opportunities for networking, learning and of course, lots of fun along the way.
Just a quick reminder that membership renewals are now due, so please ensure you update your memberships to ensure that you continue to gain full benefits from the club.
I am looking forward to meeting with everyone at the next dinner meeting next week. Till then remember, 'Be what you are. This is the first step toward becoming better than you are.'
